Mental Health Practitioner
CurrentBeing human is an extraordinary and precious challenge, that everyone deserves support with. My approach to therapy is to meet clients exactly where they are at with presence, compassion and curiosity. I believe in co-creating an authentic, caring and kind space where they can be with, feel, and share the complexity and truth of who they are. While working with me clients have the opportunity to practice how to be self-compassionate, mindfully aware and physically embodied throughout their daily life. These skills can greatly enhance the quality of the relationship to themselves, to others, and to their life as a whole. Each session integrates mindfulness and compassion-based practices, so they can exercise their ability to discern what they need in each moment to best support their emotional well-being.Stress, anxiety, depression, perfectionism, self-criticism, trauma, grief, death and dying, and relationship challenges are some of the experiences I support clients with. The modalities I weave into sessions include Mindful Self-Compassion, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Somatic Internal Family Systems, and Somatic Eco-Therapy. My approach is rooted within Anti-Oppressive, Anti-Racist, Decolonizing, and Trauma-Sensitive theories and practices. People of all sexual and gender identities, racial identities, ethnicities, cultures, religions, spiritualities, abilities, and world-views are welcomed and honoured.
