I have obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, with a minor in Biology, at Gustavus Adolphus College. I am passionate about learning and exploring the human mind and behavior, as well as the biological and environmental factors that influence them. I have completed several courses and projects on topics such as industrial organizational psychology, social psychology, developmental psychology, neuroscience, and research methods. I aspire to pursue a career in human resources or psychology, where I can leverage my knowledge, skills, and interests to make a positive impact.As a Human Resources Assistant, I welcome in everyone that enters the building, take employee questions and concerns, and work collaboratively with my other team members. In addition, I communicate with applicants who need assistant via email and phone. I run background checks and update applicants status in the process. Once an applicant is eligible for hire, I launch their onboarding packet and assist them in the process of completing their I9, wage notice, etc. Once an employee is hired, I schedule them for training and onboarding and assist my team in completing the process. As Catering 2 at Canterbury Park, I help lead operations of the team to cater parties up to 100 people, as well as work in a department wide team to deliver services to large parties, up to thousands of people. I coordinate with the kitchen staff and the clients to ensure a smooth and successful operation. I have been promoted in this job that I have been working for 3 years.
