I started as a cashier handling phone and in person take out orders, managing both card and cash payments while also folding boxes and cutting pizzas and checking food orders. I was them promoted to a hostess where I engaged with customers a little more as I brought them to tables and cleaned the tables after they left. Now adding waitress to that, I engage with customers a lot more to ensure their comfortability in the restaurant and to ensure their satisfaction.

From October 2023 to January 2024, I maintained the websites of three newspapers owned by the Gazette by posting timely stories. I also edited and published stories on Nippertown, a Capital Region life and arts digital publication. I updated social media accounts for The Daily Gazette, The Leader Herald and The Recorder newspapers. I also wrote and published 5 to 10 articles a week covering Schenectady, Gloversville and Amsterdam cities. I wrote and published 3-5 arts and music previews a week for Nippertown's digital platform. From the end of January 2024 until May 2024, I wrote news stories covering Greene County for the Daily Gazette's newly inquired Daily Mail newspaper out of Hudson, NY. I attended nightly meetings and wrote two articles a day, totaling 10 articles a week, from the information presented.

I collaborate with my editor on a weekly basis. I produce 2-3 community, news and service stories covering a variety of topics, while researching more stories to pitch weekly.

I write content on things to do in Charleston for the visitor's bureau. I go to locations and write about my experience as well as other things to do in the area such as restaurants and tours to visit. The bureau uses my writing to attract others to the area.

I collaborate with my editor on a weekly basis. I produce aggregation and service stories for NYUP.com covering a variety of topics, while researching more stories to pitch. I run and create pins for the Pinterest account for Syracuse.com, focusing on the travel and things to do in Upstate NY.

I reported three stories for The Newshouse, edited my own work as well as colleagues. I wrote and published stories on a Wordpress CMS as well as learned more about the CMS production. In addition, I was a social media coordinator for Pixels and Print as well as for the The Newshouse, where I created content for the various social media accounts, took photos and videos, edited the photos and videos and then scheduled for publishing. I was also a traffic analyst, using Google Analytics to track daily analytics for the site, assessing performance.

I brainstormed with writers on topics they could cover, as well as helped edit and publish their work. I designed Editing Workshop and Writing Workshop programs. These training workshops certified all editors and contributors in the organization. Published my own high quality writing.
