On the list of my favorite day to day responsibilities, I focus on recruiting, on-boarding, and training of new staff, coach and development of existing staff. I also provide the research and development of new service and products, and always seeking out best practices for optimal guest experience. Illinois Chapter

As an education chair I provide recommendations to the Chapter Board of Directors for presenters at chapter educational events, recruit and communicate with potential presenters, and ensure that all educational presenters and events meet AMTA’s high standard. The Education Committee plans and implements the Chapter conference, working closely with the Board and the Conference Event Planner. A conference is a one or more day long event designated as such by the Chapter Board and may include, but not be limited to one or more of the following: continuing education, meals, entertainment, exhibitors, and the Board of Directors meeting. Currently, the chapter holds the Illinois State Conference & Annual Meeting in spring, and three educational events throughout the year across the state.

The Government Relations Committee advances the interests of the massage profession in the area of government regulation. This committee may work with other massage and bodywork associations or groups, massage schools and training programs, state agencies and departments, lobbyists, and local governments.
