With two years of internships with this organization under my belt, I am ecstatic to say I am with the La Crosse Symphony Orchestra full-time. It is currently their 125th anniversary and the task lists have never been longer! In this position, I work with the Executive Director, Eva Marie Restel, to organize the office, manage relationships, and put on fantastic concerts and educational programs for the La Crosse Area community.

With my role of Manager with the La Crosse Area Youth Symphony, I have the opportunity to support students in their professional music journey, encouraging their love of music and involvement in the community.

I have the honor of working with nine 2nd-12th grade violin students, encouraging them to continue a love and respect for music, to keep them playing in a "post"-covid world, while teaching them the skills to feel confident in their musical abilities.

From part-time to full-time during Covid, I began working at Ace Hardware at the end of my sophomore year, looking to finally make some money of my own. Responsibilities included customer service, quick thinking, and product knowledge to be able to give recommendations, check people out, and give them a wonderful experience in our store. During my time here, I was able to grow in my confidence and creativity that continues to grow to this day.

In this position, I run the La Crosse Symphony Orchestra's Youtube Series, Meet the Musician, while also managing their Instagram page, focused on community outreach and understanding.

For this internship, it was the goal to be able to create, maintain, and cultivate the annual Symphony for Youth event. This event focuses on inspiring 3rd through 5th graders to begin their journey in music, showing them what is possible with a little dedication and hard work. With my time here, I also took it upon myself to grow our following base through our social media platforms. I created and managed the YouTube series, Meet the Musician, to gain connectivity from our musicians to our community. On Facebook I continued the already going series, Trivia Thursday, focusing on bringing social justice elements to our feed to highlight important events going on in our world and our Wisconsin base. For our Instagram, I revamped our look, using a simple color palette that would attract the eye and give our page an air of simplicity and class. I thought through different series' such as Modern Composer Monday, Question of the Week, This Day in History, and highlighting important holidays. With the leftover time that I was able to give them, I assisted in the office in whatever way I could. I helped our office by running the communication aspect of our String Scholarship Program, emailing the applicants, contacting them with any questions, answering any of theirs, and communicating with them if they won. To maintain professionalism, I readjusted our forms from the previous year and adapted them to better fit our use and have everything that they might need in one place.Another way I assisted our office was becoming the Head Usher for two concerts while my supervisor was in quarantine. Using my leadership skills, I directed our ushers to the places that would best fit our customers in finding their seats, handing out bulletins, and more. Making sure that the concerts ran smoothly while managing volunteers was a privilege and a fantastic experience.

Taken on the role of interviewing movie stars during their promotion period for their work. Lisa, the creator of Twin Cities Frugal Mom, has employed me for two movies in the past 2 years to watch the film, interview parts of the cast, and write about it to post on her blog. I have written about Midnight Sun and Troop Zero, interviewing Bella Thorne, Patrick Schwarzenegger, and Milan Ray.
