Cassie Wright is a real estate development and urban planning consultant with over 20 years of experience in the private, public and non-profit sectors. Currently located in Amarillo, Texas, Cassie offers real estate development and asset management services, urban planning expertise and community development resources to the Texas panhandle and beyond.

CASSIE WRIGHT was the former Development Director for Urban Ventures, LLC, a real estate company that is dedicated to creating healthy, sustainable communities. During her time at Urban Ventures, Cassie worked on all aspects of real estate development, from land acquisition to project close-out. She tested the financial feasibility of projects, actively participated in the site planning and design processes, developed marketing strategies and coordinated all project management. While at Urban Ventures, Ms. Wright intensively focused on the relationship between the built environment and healthy living. In this role, she researched and implemented best practices and health-based programming to foster community development that promoted social cohesion and positive wellbeing. Her primary projects included: Cultivate Health, Aria Denver, Aria Cohousing Community and STEAM on the Platte.

Managed and coordinated the preparation and implementation of special projects and reports. Worked on environmental policies and programs with an specific emphasis on those impacting businesses. Served as a liaison to the Planning Board, Environmental Advisory Board, community groups, governmental agencies and others concerned with economic development, environmental sustainability and planning issues.

Managed or participated in all of the urban planning processes that directly affect Downtown Denver, as well as sustainability, urban design and development projects that promoted economic development and enhanced the pedestrian environment in Downtown.Served as DDP’s project manager for the Rocky Mountain West Urban Leadership Symposium, a regional urban policy event supporting communication and collaboration among the Rocky Mountain West’s urban centers. Managed the implementation of the 16th Street Plan (the long-term planning process for the Mall) and the Downtown 2027 Committee (the group charged with the implementation of the 2007 Downtown Denver Area Plan.)

Co-managed land development and HOA management for four real estate developments. Evaluated financial feasibility of projects through pro forma analysis and due diligence studies. Facilitated development of legal documents and budgets for Homeowners' Associations. Coordinated communications and public outreach to homeowners and potential homebuyers.

Contracted to coordinate tenant improvements for office and retail space by overseeing the bid process and coordinating design work with architect, engineers, contractor and tenants. Assisted with due diligence reporting required by permanent lender. Supported preparation of legal documents associated with condominium declaration.

Supported pre-development efforts through property acquisition, database management, grant solicitation, entitlements and contract negotiation. Coordinated settlements related to condemnation proceedings and assisted Redevelopment Authority with residential relocation efforts. Assisted with real estate pro formas and cashflows; solicited and managed grant funding from multiple local and federal sources.

Assisted with the research and preparation of market feasibility studies, with a specific focus on retail analysis. Studied supply and demand based on market demographics to estimate square footage space requirements for retail corridors.
