Responsible for supporting the operations and administration of all benefits, wellness and retirement programs. Interpretation of plan documents, policies, and procedures for compliance with ERISA, IRS and DOL requirements, resolve participant escalations, direct vendors, perform reconciliations, maintain business process documents, and leverage data to conduct analysis for solving problems and providing solutions. Support developing plan and investment design, regulatory compliance, and vendor management in collaboration with Benefits Manager and 401k fiduciary committee.

My responsibilities encompass the management and delivery of core HR duties to enhance efficiency and quality across the HR department. This includes performance management, employee engagement, benefits management, payroll data entry, full cycle recruiting, responding to employment verifications, onboarding tasks, maintaining HR policy/procedure, job descriptions, organizational charts, process leave notices and requests, analyzing HR systems data to support operational and workforce decisions, foster employee relations, promote company culture, and reinforce workplace culture of positivity, inclusion, cooperation, and respect.

Provide Human Resources directives to all levels of management. Responsible for developing or enhancing, managing and implementing HR functions including talent and performance management, compensation and benefits management, employee and labor relations, HRIS management, communications, and practice/policy interpretation and application.

Responsible for all elements of staffing for a growing civil engineering firm within Northern Virginia and North Carolina including: new hire orientation/onboarding, recruitment contract negotiation, salary negotiation, training, and employee relations.

Responsible to Directors of the organization for the direction, coordination, and overall management of the human resources function. Primary oversight for new hire orientation, exit interviews, coordination of annual benefit renewals, payroll, and recruitment, benefits, COBRA, and FMLA administration, Workers’ Compensation, and maintenance of personnel files. Assist with labor relations, employee relations, and policy development. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local government regulations as they relate to the human resources function and payroll.
