Assistant project manager for renovation of retail stores across Portugal.CHICCO (Nosso Shopping, Vila Real)NOVA CÂMBIOS (Airport Francisco Sá Carneiro)MEO (Évora Plaza, Évora)MEO (Bragança Shopping, Bragança)Day-to-day duties:• Assist in setting out the new infrastructures of the store (e.g. air conditioning, firefighting and electrical systems, architectural layout);• Weekly plan of the works, on an average project duration of 4 weeks with minimum margin of delay; • Prepare material supply, including the liaison with the design team to discuss the most effective performance/cost solution (e.g. air condition systems, lighting solution, etc); • Select and negotiate sub-contractors, including signing off the schedule valuation of the works;• Prepare detailed drawings from the main specialist drawings, including as built drawings;• Oversee quality control of the works, with weekly inspection meetings with the design team.

2nd stage of project: MEP and finishing works.Day-to-day duties:• Oversee quality of all the works, from mechanical (plumbing, air conditioning) and electrical works to finishing works, such as floor and wall tiling, application of gypsum plasterboard, painting, wood works, etc;• Assist the general foreman on the interpretation of complex drawings, such as structural drawings of swimming pool and design drawing for the access road to the residential compound;• Coordinate weekly meetings with all team leaders on site, to discuss and plan the work for the forward week;• Control material’s consumption and supply, using the consumption ratio to effectively manage the on-site stock;• Select and negotiate subcontractors, supported by a comparative map with a least four options;• Conduct safety tours followed by improvement reports.

1st stage of project: concrete structure and masonry works.Day-to-day duties:• Assist the general foreman in the interpretation of drawings and setting out of works, such as the building foundations, access roadway, etc;• Supervise of the works, such as excavation, backfilling, formwork, steel, concrete and masonry works, with a full control of the major works, such as casting of slabs and other elements;• Attend weekly site meetings with the design team and organize of weekly tool box meetings;• Weekly plan of the works, always considering the general programme of the works.
