About Michael Castillo
I have been a small business owner, business developer, outside sales representative, trainer, and CIS educator since leaving the military in the mid 1990's. My service experience began with the US Army Airborne units and ended with the US Army Special Forces units. From beginning to end, I've learned many important lessons. Carrying these lessons forward provides the foundation for my personal and professional development. I have been fortunate. I am able to combine my love of education and training with my current cyber security endeavors. In addition to my current position as an adjunct professor at the California based, Chaffey Community College, I have successfully completed the academic requirements of a comprehensive Cyber Security program at San Diego State University. I have also completed an IT Support Specialist program that resulted in. couple important industry certifications. Now, I am working to complete an NPower CyberSecurity program that will result in both Security+ and Linux+ CompTia certifications. .All of the student I have been fortunate enough to interact with, were actively pursing degrees or transfer credits so I have always felt my role in their lives was a valuable one. Likewise, the organizations, industry leaders, academic institutions, and end-users I have interfaced with continue to work extraordinarily hard on creating a better world for all of us. Their efforts, and my participation are a source of pride and inspiration.My Goals?To take my experiences and find ways to help make someone's life a little better.
