I founded Martin Castle Ltd in 2008 based on my enthusiasm for climbing. I am one of two company directors and am responsible for the management of the training courses and services we provide.

I trained various courses in working at height included in the list below. This included making sure trainees understood the current legislation, equipment selection, limitations and inspection. I worked for various Industrial Rope Access companies as a Rope Access Level 3 supervisor. I have worked on some of the biggest buildings in London, including the Swiss-Re tower, Millennium Eye and the Tate Modern. I have also been a technical adviser, instructor and trainer for the Mile End Climbing Wall. I ran their off-site events, including organising charity abseils from buildings such as Canary Wharf and Centre Point. I have organised site-specific training for accessing windmills where I have used IRATA techniques. I have worked with Stunt Action Ltd, rigging rope stunts and built several mobile climbing and ice walls for exhibitions. I have also worked as a climbing and caving instructor.

This role involved the installation of lighting protection on high-rise buildings, as well as repair and maintenance of tall structures such as church spires, monuments, towers and industrial chimneys. The work also involved working at significant heights using scaffolding, ladders and ropes.
