In this role I worked remotely for Shopify, raising the profile of our Partners program, organising our third party event involvement and curating our own series of Partner-focused events.The role was a great mix of logistical challenges, plenty of human interaction and creative forward planning. I enjoyed producing a five stop international conference series, and it was very gratifying to work for a company that places such a strong emphasis on positive internal culture, and invests so much into employee development.

When Smashing Magazine were looking for someone to grow their event offering from a single annual conference to a multi-event international schedule, I was personally approached regarding the role and delighted to accept the challenge.I've since taken SmashingConf to seven different cities, running four to five conferences per year. We've enjoyed sell-out success, some fantastic line ups, exceptionally engaged audiences and happy sponsors' continued involvement.I was responsible for and involved with the events on all levels: from initial venue visits and AV orders, to ordering printed materials and balancing the final budget.
