In parallel with managing products and releases as an Individual Contributor, I started managing and growing the Romania Release Management team (5 Release Managers in 2023) covering all products and releases developed in Romania.Sharing that one project that would describe best how I work and what I do, would like to mention the early days of Automation Cloud @ UiPath. In my role there, I have:* Worked with the engineering teams and the non-engineering ones to establish our ways of working* Helped defining our DoR and DoD* Created templates for Jira, live incidents, deployments, etc * Documented the engineering team ways of working and shared that information with other teams for internal alignment* Coordinated the release across all teams and the push of the binaries onto our deployment environments. Initially, I was the person pushing the actual deploy buttons but after the process was on a beaten path, I’ve documented it and migrated it to engineering.* Created clear internal communication channels for sharing information about the release scope, status and deployments* Helped on putting together the initial structure of our SRE project & processes* Worked on the release criteria and document what’s needed from a release perspective to put a new version upAs a people manager, I have:* Coached the team in our day to day activities* Contributed to the UiPath Release Management Job Description* Created internal role and responsibilities documents, explaining at a high level what a Release Manager does in UiPath* Covered hiring* Put together the first version of our Jira release process automation which, based on a predefined matrix, automatically creates the required subtasks for a release across all dependent teams depending on the type of the release.
