As the Recruitment Coordinator, I lead the efforts of a team of Recruiting Associates responsible for input into the Human Capital Management and Applicant Tracking Systems. Responsibilities include hiring, training, and mentoring of Recruiting Associates; communicating unit, HR and University goals and information; interfacing with the Talent Acquisition team to identify action items, process improvements, systems enhancements, and communication needs; scheduling and assigning of tasks to Recruiting Associates to provide recruitment and sourcing support; monitoring distribution of work and making adjustments, as needed; ensuring activities such as opening/closing job postings, placing advertisements, and responding to candidate and management questions are handled with a high degree of customer service and attention to detail; providing support with inquiries and requests elevated from Recruiting Support Associates; coordinating and/or assisting with recruitment activities such as career fairs, utilizing internet resources, mining of resumes, and following up with candidates and/or managers, as needed; and ensuring compliance with applicable University, State and Federal guidelines; partner with Human Resources and management staff to communicate and develop programs that meet the needs of the units/University. My position also assists with the screening of resumes in applicant pools and providing input to Recruitment Specialists.
Talent Acquisition Associate
As a Talent Acquisition Associate, I provided support to the part-time recruiting and sourcing teams. Responsibilities include interfacing with customers, both face-to-face and via telephone; responding to routine inquiries regarding recruitment policies and procedures; opening job requisitions, placing external advertisements, and closing out job postings; initiating background checks, and processing hiring actions; responding to management, HR, employee and applicant inquiries in a timely and accurate manner; providing customer service to applicants; generating various reports; and providing general administrative support to the recruiting and sourcing teams; the position also assisted with the screening of resumes in applicant pools and coordinating and/or assisting with recruitment events such as career fairs, mining of resumes, and following up with candidates and/or managers, as needed.
