I graduated from University of Leeds in June 2024. In my final year I specialised in Teaching and Learning in Early Modern England but my historical interests have spanned from BC to the twentieth century, and I particularly enjoyed the range of History modules available at Uni of Leeds.I have always been a curious person and am constantly on the lookout for ways to expand my current knowledge base. Therefore, I made great use of 'Discovery Modules' and took classes in Biology, Physics, Spanish, Musical Theatre and Events Management. These greatly enhanced my interest, information and passion for many different fields.My work experience owes a lot to the Co-op, which I have worked at intermittently since 2020. I am currently Team Leader at Leeds University Union's Co-op and thoroughly enjoy this challenging role. I feel I am continuing to improve and enhance my leadership skills through the problem-solving which arises each shift, and am gaining more confidence as a result. I adore the team I work with and am so grateful to be learning and thriving in such a welcoming and encouraging environment.My other experience centres around volunteering with the Woodcraft Folk, a youth group which I have been a member of since I was 8 years old. Woodcraft gifted me with so many valuable and enjoyable experiences as a child so I love to volunteer at camps and session to ensure other children can also have such magical moments. My connection with Woodcraft allowed me the opportunity to represent the charity Right To Play at Glastonbury Festival on the Kidz Field. It is so gratifying to see how much joy we can bring the children who visit the Fort.I also have lots of experience with music and performing. I have grades in Electric Guitar (up to grade 7) and Musical Theatre singing (grade 3). I have performed in a multitude of shows and gigs, and even organised a showcase of all-inclusive talent in my role as President of Performing Arts Society at Leeds Uni. I have been an active member of many other performance societies, such as Salsa and Belly Dance, and have also enjoyed Roller Skating, Chess and Girls Training Together.I am a confident, reliable and organised person and know I can excel in many fields. I am capable and responsible, and love leading and working within a team. I am an excellent communicator and love teaching and helping others to excel. I am creative and adept at problem solving, whilst my time studying history has greatly increased my critical thinking and analytical and research skills.
