I started working on the Residential Red Zone Insurance Recovery Project CERA as a Project Co-ordinator. Within a year of working on the project I was promoted to Project Manager and my direct Manager moved to Wanaka. This left me responsible for the day-to-day running of this project and the team. With CERA being wound down, our project transitioned to Land Information New Zealand (LINZ). • Co-ordinating multiple external service providers; Insurers, PMO and EQC to ensure adequate information and progress is made to reach project milestones – Project value was $500M of Government Portfolio. • Liaising across the Red zone Programme areas including Red Zone Acquisitions, Red Zone Insurance Recoveries and Red Zone Clearance Project Managers to ensure co-ordination and integration of the 3 projects. • Co-ordinating quality assessment work and processing accurate insurance recovery settlement proposals based on cost estimates, scope of works and property valuations. • Solely represent Insurance Recoveries at the Residential Red Zone workstream meetings and report analysis to Senior Management on project status and escalate as appropriate. Prepare accurate insurer reports for Programme Manager, the Minister’s Office and others as required.• Responsible for two direct reports performance and development, co-ordinating the contracts for the contracted staff and external contractors. In control of anticipating resource demand and obtaining additional staff where required i.e. temporary recruitment staff. • Design, development and implementation of new business process system to ensure consistent processes in place.
