About Guy Wigley

I farm 510 hectares near Waimate in partnership with my wife Kathryn. We run an intensive mixed cropping operation mainly growing wheat, ryegrass seed and oil seed rape, along with some lamb finishing and grazing.After high school I spent a year on the farm, then went to Lincoln College in 1979 to study for a Bachelor of Agricultural Science.In 1981 I went on an exchange to Oregon State University and spent my summer break working for a Texan harvest contractor.I have extensive governance experience and have spent the last 10 years working as a director for major farming bodies including Federated Farmers and The Foundation for Arable Research.Kathryn and I have two daughters Charlotte and Sarah.
