I am a Senior Digital Crisis Worker at The Trevor Project, the world's largest suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization for LGBTQ young people. For over 2 years, I have been providing life-saving support to youth who are struggling with issues of sexuality, gender identity, and suicidal ideation, using world-class platforms such as Genesys PureConnect and Amazon Connect. I have developed strong skills in crisis intervention, counseling, and communication, as well as a deep understanding of the diverse and unique needs of LGBTQ communities.I am passionate about people and wellness, and I pursue this mission through my education and work. I am currently a Registered Nursing student at Stanbridge University, where I am learning how to provide quality and compassionate care to patients from different backgrounds and cultures. I also hold a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a Social Work Emphasis from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona, where I gained valuable knowledge and insights into the social and health issues affecting various populations. Additionally, I have assisted a professor of social work in teaching a hybrid-model course, and I have provided clerical and library services support at LA County Library for over eight years. Through these diverse experiences, I have learned how to empower individuals to take charge of their own lives, and how to collaborate effectively with others in a team environment. I am also certified in Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging, and Tools for an Ethical Workplace, which reflect my commitment to promoting a culture of respect, equity, and inclusion in everything I do.
