I have a history in social care. This has included 25 years of working with teenagers with complex issues who often lived in residential or foster care or in their own accommodation at a very young age. I have managed a Supported Housing Scheme for young people. Over time I specialised in direct work and counselling.Most of my practice has been in the voluntary sector with Action for children.I am trained to level 3 in counselling and hold the PTTLLS qualification. I have a degree in sociology and a diploma in social work.In 2014 I left social work and worked in Social care until 2017. From Social care I moved to Customer services at Macdonalds ready to retire early. instead I've chosen to retrain. I've transferred my knowledge in Health and Safety to the construction industry. I've gained my CSCS card and Health and Safety level 1 in construction. I have a City and Guilds qualification in confined spaces. September 2020 I currently work as part of a drainage team in the London area.
