SDN – Software Defined Network- Migration of IT Systems from their End-of-Life Cisco 6509 core switches on new Cisco Appliance Centric Infrastructure [ACI] and Instant Access [AI] Core Networks- Focus of work was the migration of all systems off the old cores to allow legacy platforms to be decom-missioned. o LAN refresh [inc decommission of legacy infrastructure].In order to transition users from existing PABX’s onto Uniform Communications platform (CUCM) users need their telephone / devices moved onto VoIP capable devices. The project team completed site audits, and found a large portion of network kit was not only non-POE compliant and End of Life, alongside lack of redundancy, or failover in parts of the network infrastructure. Successfully upgraded infrastructure to 90 + sites across Auckland, NZVoIP Upgrade: Move all council users off the PABX’s along with associated services (e.g. fax machines, call centres etc.) and transfer users to the Auckland Council Unified Communications Platform (Cisco - CUCM). Successfully removed private automatic branch exchange [PABX] and replaced with CUCM voice platform at 87 sites / 2000 users across Aucklando Contact / Call Centre migration: PABX & Zeacom/Notrtel platforms to Genesys [85 clients / 12 new queues] platform [inc decommission of legacy infrastructure]. Successfully migrated Council's Contact / Call Centres [x 5] running PABX & Zeacom/Nortel platforms to Genesys [85 clients / 12 new queues] platform.o CUCM [Cisco Unified Communications Manager] upgrade Successfully upgraded: CUMC telephony platform - 8.5 to 10.6 including new licensing model to assist business transformation. CISCO Unity to deliver voice messaging and unified messaging.o Genesys T server upgrade: Successfully upgraded Genesys T server integration to CUCM.
