As a pharmaceutical technician in the medication delivery business my responsibilities include;-Manufacture of chemotherapy and antibiotic pharmaceuticals in a clean room environment using barrier isolator technology -Operation of gas sterilisation units for the sterilisation of isolators -Environmental monitoring of clean room facility-Performance and Monitoring of grade A and grade D EM-Assisting in process and equipment validation -Liaising with Customer Services and Warehousing on goods inwards and delivery related issues -Liaising with the Quality department on quality-related issues including maintaining and development of GMP within the manufacturing area-Documentation and non-conformance deviations -Other responsibilities including stock control, calibrations, training and environmental health and safety (EHS) duties-Use of the Ariba purchasing tool-Trained in CAPA

Carried out daily laboratory routines and sample testing. This three month, unpaid, work experience was in conjunction with my college course, where I gained invaluable experience within a laboratory environment, where I was trained to use; pipettes, centrifuge, micro-titre plate washers, incubator, TECAN Genesis RSP 150 and Quansys Biosciences Imager. I received a first class honours grade for my time spent there.
