Current project focus:Developing Intelligent C2 Solutions for Sustainable Operations for Marine Autonomous Systems Operating over the Horizon (£3M) funded by NERC OCEANIDS - Within the OCEANIDS C2 project, I am leading Phase 2 of the development which includes a work-package to develop infrastructure to enable safe automated piloting of the NERC long-range fleet of submarine gliders and autonomous underwater vehicles. With increasing interest in multi-vehicle adaptive deployments, in which large fleets of vehicles dynamically survey features such as fronts, there is a need to reduce the current piloting overhead, allowing expert pilots to take a supervisory role rather than piloting vehicles individually, enabling the deployment of much larger fleets. By using standard interfaces and abstractions, the Automated Piloting Framework will enable much greater collaboration with the UK and International Robotics and Artificial Intelligence communities

Completed a self-initiated placement, working as part of the Autosub group. Implemented a Simultaneous Mapping and Terrain Contour Mapping system for Autosub6000 using MATLAB.

Developed a computer implementation of Darwin's model of coral atoll formation using Matlab.
