For fall quarter of my Senior year, I had the privilege to study abroad in Florence, Italy at Florence University of the Arts. I truly had the time of my life learning with the most amazing professors, exploring the world, and making lifelong friendships.

As a front desk assistant I was expected to answer phone calls on behalf of the company, greet customers at the door and offer them water and coffee. I was also able to give them a rundown of the different wedding dress styles that were available as well as the layout of the store. Handling and carrying couture wedding dresses to fitting rooms was also required of me. I was also able to ring up any orders or purchases as well as writing thank you cards.

As an intern, I regularly use softwares such as Excel, Time Matters, and Adobe. The internship mainly involves scanning and organizing legal documents into their respective client files on the computer as well as sorting them into their appropriate physical box. I often times make phone calls on behalf of the law firm. I work with other interns on a daily basis. Most all of our tasks consist of group work which requires constant communication and teamwork.

For an advertising class at DePaul University, my professor, Ken Krimstein, got in touch with the Montford Point Marine Association as they needed help with advertising but did not have much of a budget. My professor decided to enlist our class to help and separated us into groups. This was a real account that ended up being our final project. For the Montford Point Marine Association, each group had to privately come up with their own plan to get the MPMA on the radar of the greater Chicago area to help with donations and brand awareness. For our group, we came up with the idea of campaigning on social media with meaningful interview style videos in order for our audience to get to know the veteran members of the association. The main goal of my group was to give the MPMA a roadmap to not only spread brand awareness, but to give them an effective plan to communicate their brand's personality. On the day of our final presentation, we had to formally present our ideas to the president of the Montford Point Marine Association. In result, the president of the MPMA chose to use my group's plan and we won the account.

As a lifeguard, I am expected to protect and save the lives of everyone who enters the vicinity. Even when off the chair, a lifeguard is never off duty. Even while on break, I am expected to keep an eye on the members and their guests, make towel runs, and tidy up the bathrooms and pool deck. What I really love about being a lifeguard is building relationships with not only the children, but also their entire families. These positive professional relationships help the members and their guests enjoy their time at the pool and build faith in my ability to take care of both them and their children in case of any emergency.
