I continuously work with companies to ensure there is a quality delivery network and that competence standards, courses and qualifications remain current and provide people with the knowledge and skills to deliver the UK’s critical energy security and major infrastructure projects.My current focus is on skills improvement and training delivery for management and professional. This includes: site supervision; human performance; plant layout and design; diversity and inclusion alongside awareness of unconscious bias; estimating, planning, scheduling, cost and project control; and project management.

Development of training standards and qualifications; stakeholder engagement; project management; contract management; funding proposals and; training needs analysis for the engineering construction industry.

Responsibilities include: effective research, development, management and evaluation of business improvement projects and programmes that safeguard jobs, save money and reduce the environmental impact of businesses. Leading stakeholder consultations and networking with key businesses and organisations. Interpretation, development and delivery of policy. Applying for and securing funding for projects. Communicating best practice and project success through events, case studies, and the web etc. with the ultimate aim of improving knowledge and changing behaviour.

Whilst working at RM I managed a £15m business and provided a compelling vision for my team – with the following achievements: increasing the market share of a key software product from 18% to 52%; re-energising an IT solution to secure ongoing revenue of £5M a year and; improving the customer satisfaction with RM’s major software products demonstrated through the results of an annual customer survey.Led the £15M Primary software business 3 year strategy and annual business plan and delivered this through: product development; improvement initiatives; customer research and impact analysis; identifying spend and resource requirements; balancing conflicting priorities and reprioritising according to impact and; managing my team.

Delivery of programmes and projects to a high quality within budget and time, including: creation of the strategic plans; full financial management and cost control; agreement on delivery targets; monthly reporting and; management of my team and sub-contractors.
