- Educating Families with a 10 week - Strengthening Families Together course to care for themselves while taking care of and being responsible for a loved one with a mental illness. Providing education regarding the mental health system and substance use. Empowering them to be proactive.- host weekly Meet & Greet sessions at Burnaby Hospital In Patient Unit (IPU); bi-monthly Info Sessions for families @ BH IPU- BCSS Care & SHare for Families with mental illness in their families/loved ones at Burnaby Hospital (fall 2014) (aiding families to find resources and navigate the FH Mental Health system)

CHAIR - Burnaby MH&SU Advisory Committee since 2009 - present - facilitate meeting, assign duties for regular forums, due expenses, reminders, edit minutes, recruit new members - 2006; created a new document for the BH In Patient Unit (IPU); brochure explained to family and clients the workings/rules and regulations in the IPU. SECRETARY - Regional Advisory Commttee (2008 - present) - record/edit/compile/transcribe monthly minutes, create agenda, distribution of documents to 12 local advisories, compile/submit expenses, keep information updated - serve on numerous sub-committees investigating systemic gaps; create/revamp new policies & guidelines: I.E Family Support & Inclusion Steering Committee (2013 - present); Client Case File Closure Committee (2014 - present) - served on FH Hiring committee for the new position of Consumer & Family Involvement Support Worker (CFISW) Dec 2012. Interviewing/vetting candidates

Invited as a Community member with Mental Health and Substance Use experience within Fraser Health/ Helped to distribute community survey. Engaged at meetings in discussions/ contributed community viewpoint;- spoke at various conferences about Mental Health (services/resources/personal experiences)- Vancouver Sun article (March 12/14) by Pamela Fayerman- CKNW, Bill Goode Show (March 27l, 2014)

- assisted Burnaby Mental Health Teams; North, South & Central to relocate to Burnaby Hospital Mental Health- created simple guidelines & Practices for reorientation for clients to the new location, helped manage increase in new clients, wait times- liasion with staff from other areas, assisted with office work, supplied new staff with access to resources
