Dr.Catherine McLeod is a Specialist in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics. Following graduation, she completed a one-year residency, receiving additional training treating children, at The Hospital for Sick Children and the University of Toronto. She then completed her residency in Orthodontics as well as a Master of Science in Orthodontics at the University of Manitoba. She is a Canadian and Australian Board-Certified orthodontist, and a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada. Dr. McLeod is a published author in international peer-reviewed journals.After spending three years in Sydney, Australia practicing as a registered specialist, Dr. McLeod decided to return to Nova Scotia to be closer to her large family. As a native Nova Scotian, she is enthusiastic about creating confident smiles for patients of all ages in a gentle caring manner. She treated patients alongside Dr. Eric Smith last summer before he fully retired in September. Dr. Smith selected Dr. McLeod to take over his practice based on her expertise on the current trends in orthodontic treatment, and her customized treatment tailored to each individual patient, which best upheld his vision for the practice.
