With over twenty five years of experience in STEM education, I am passionate about leading STEM extracurricular programs, infusing STEM skills into science curriculum, and developing and maintaining STEM community partnerships. I work with Pinellas County Schools, one of the largest and most diverse districts in Florida, and lead a dynamic group of educators to provide high-quality STEM education opportunities for middle and high school students. As a STEM education expert and leader, I have a Master of Science in Middle Grades STEM Education and a Doctor of Education in Program Development with Emphasis in Educational Innovation. I have also published a dissertation on the representation of gifted students from diverse backgrounds in Florida county school districts. I lead the planning team for several large-scale STEM events per year, such as robotics competitions, professional development for STEM facilitators, and STEM Explorer Fest, an annual event that draws over 8000 participants. My goal is to help educators become enthusiastic, effective facilitators who inspire lifelong learning and creativity in schools.
