Promoted to act as a strategic thought partner to the University’s chief executive officer. Serve as a member of the executive leadership team and collaborate with executives in academic affairs, budget and finance, communications, diversity, equity and inclusion, human resources, legal, and government relations. Manage 6 FTEs with a $1.5M budget.Created first ethics and compliance program that led to focus on values-based decision-making processes and improved policies and procedures.Led efforts to create the office of institutional equity and compliance, ethics and compliance and provide support to create the a new role at the university, Led search process for the first senior vice chancellor for diversity, equity and inclusion. Recognized for action-oriented approach to goal setting and leadership efforts to implement strategic plans. Design collaborative, team-based approach to leadership efforts to ensure alignment among senior leaders to support the success of the strategic plan. Maximize project management skills and interpersonal diplomacy to manage and coordinate strategic planning responsibilities of the executive leadership team, including the chief academic officer, chief operating and financial officer, and chief research officer.Apply continuous attention to detail, data-informed decision-making skill, and persuasive verbal and interpersonal skills to troubleshoot issues and remove barriers to high organizational performance.Strong partner in diversity, equity and inclusion efforts.
