I work with nonprofit arts groups, and grants and art groups, to incorporate visual art making into the wholistic piece of a larger Community Arts Event. My skills include finding writers, artists and performers to participate in community Arts events. while promoting these events, I create a variety of public small group creative interactions bringing all the arts together. Acting as facilitator and MC I unite the artists with an interactive audience, and keep the creative flow going. My many tasks range from building the prototype to work with, to finding venues, and participants, to the smaller pieces, such as gathering supplies, over seeing things from start to finish. And, of course as a visual artist and teacher, I run the hands on art making, while others provide music, readings, and or dance.

Catherine Carilli, a Colorado artist, relates to 20th century Modernism and the importance of the individual mark. Her work reflects the belief that art is timeless, beautiful, and emotive. She creates interactions of color and form that ideas and feelings can be projected onto. The origin of her work lies in abstraction: in the lusciousness of color, in the ability of abstract painting to hold enigmatic narrative and spirit, and in the rich visual surfaces found in layers of paint.

Instructor of Art and Art History.Classes that I teach include: Painting I--IV, Mixed Media, Art History I: Ancient Art -- Medieval, Art History II: Gothic -- Impressionism, Art History 207: 1900 -- Present, Art Appreciation, and Drawing I & II.
