As a part of my Logistics and Distribution Level 5 QQI I undertook five weeks of work experience in the powder-store warehouse at Dairygold Castlefarm.Some of the tasks I completed include:Creating Pick Order slips, Issue Dockets, Move Orders and adjusting damaged stock using Oracle Database.Stock Reconciliation between production and finance which included noting, tracking and resolving discrepancies between production, finance and the warehouse.Inventory Management – Accounting for WIP (Works in Progress), physically verifying stock location and reconciliation between production bagging sheets and the shunter operator sheet.Organisation and filing of paperwork. This included organising paperwork for International, National, external warehouses and returned damages.

My duties included; Delivering good customer service by promptly noting orders, ensuring the correct food and beverage orders were delivered and discussing any issues with the kitchen staff.Setting up the restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner and ensuring it was to a high standard. Setting up for weddings and private functions and ensuring it was to the expected high standard.

Duties included: organizing meat placement in trays, adhering labels to meat packaging, ensuring labels properly displayed and printed, ensuring quality in product, ensuring the product is correctly sealed and displayed etc.
