Investigated software, solver and database issues, performed tests and maintenance, developed client relationships.Achievements• Conducted an analysis of the cost effectiveness of pump schedules for an international water facility by interviewing the client, gathering/sorting data, identifying the terms in the mass balance analysis, performing the analysis, evaluating the outcome and producing a report which was signed off by a supervising engineer before being presented to the client.• Managed projects by reporting at weekly meetings, monitoring hours charged, prioritising work load, and ensuring work was consistently on time and to specification.• Developed modules/functions, tested and fixed bugs and configuration issues using Delphi/SQL/Excel/VBA before delivering files to client servers. The Operations Manager commented on my sharp attention to detail and my ability to recognise bugs that had been unidentified for up to five years.

Designed/modelled parts in SolidWorks, constructed a build order, and sourced materials that aligned to mechanical and cost specifications. Performed a supplementary numerical investigating using MATLAB. Reported and presented on design/findings.• In 2011 the results from the experiment using the apparatus that I assisted in designing were published in the academic journal “Journal of Fluid Mechanics”.
