As the primary project manager for the BNMA and the senior industry liaison for the Northland Workforce Training Center, I ensured seamless coordination of the workforce development pipeline for Northland students and area manufacturing and energy companies. In order to correctly operationalize the BNMA , I established its human resources department and continued to administer all aspects of human resources - including payroll and benefits contracts and schedules - as well as the information technology structure for the organization.

As Workforce Development Specialist for the American Apprenticeship Initiative, I worked with Western New York employers to register, expand, and improve apprenticeship programs. Serving as Deputy to the Project Director, I assisted with strategic planning and daily project implementation. Throughout my day-to-day, I identified the unique concerns and obstacles that prohibit a company from being successful in their apprenticeship programs and worked to address those needs.

As Manager of Economic Development & Government Affairs, I worked with member companies to give them a voice with government policy makers, community leaders, and economic development agencies. I strove to inform the business community on policy developments and initiatives through briefs, newsletters, blogposts, and whitepapers. I also managed the CanAm Council and co-managed the Logistics & Transportation Council, ensuring all mandates for the committees were met, including quarterly meetings, tours, and events. In addition, during the last ten months within the position, I developed and wrote the Partnership’s application for the Global NY grant, which was successfully awarded. Since that time, I managed the implementation and execution of all grant programming.

In this capacity, I worked on two portfolios. The first, within economic development, aimed at increasing the bilateral business relationships between Canada and America. Specifically focusing on companies within the Bi-National Golden Horseshoe (Toronto to Buffalo Niagara), I worked to increase the representation of Canadian and American companies on the CanAm Council . Through my management of the CanAm Council, we worked toward eradicating the barriers to doing business bilaterally while also educating the business community on any policy updates. We focused our yearly programming on accomplishing the goal to create new opportunities for business to business connections. The second portfolio was government affairs, where I worked on federal advocacy and any state level advocacy that affected Canadian-American trade policy. I helped the team accomplish the priorities included within the annual advocacy agenda through collaboration with the business community and elected officials.

In my capacity as Senior Commercial Specialist, I strove to strengthen the bilateral trade relationship between the United States and the UAE. I employed a multifaceted approach - creating business-to-business connections for both American and Emirati companies, advocating trade policy improvements in both the US and the UAE, and liaising with businesses to encourage their participation in Embassy initiatives and events.

As Operations Manager and Assistant to the Chief of Staff, I aided the Trade Office in achieving its mandate to increase economic partnership between the United States and the UAE. I accomplished this through developing delegation visits targeting program and policy development; writing analyses on U.S. governmental programs and policies for review; and researching prospective business partnerships between the U.S. and the UAE.

In my role as Assistant to the Chief of Staff, I worked with the Chief of Staff to coordinate the office's operations. Specifically, I organized the travel, accommodation, and meetings for delegations traveling from the UAE; created briefing books for delegations; and assisted the Chief of Staff with administrative and secretarial duties. I also edited, bracketed, and submitted Antidumping and Countervailing Duty Investigation submissions and worked with the U.S. Department of Commerce on organizing verification meetings in the UAE and the U.S.

As Union Privilege's Member Care Specialist, I developed a database to chronicle and track union publications; analyzed effectiveness of union publications through database and customer surveys; and initiated contact with large-local labor unions to update information and promote Union Plus programs. I also created end-of-month reports for the President detailing the past month’s publication effectiveness and recommended new targeting strategies for subsequent months. Working under the Vice President of Operations, I assisted with all administrative duties, as well.
