Catherine is a mission-focused leader, with a passion for the power of storytelling, art, and media to catalyze awareness and action for social good. She has over twenty years experience leading creative teams and producing story-driven impact projects across platforms -- from documentary films to online media campaigns, public programs, and exhibitions -- for companies, non-profits, foundations, media start-ups, and cultural institutions. Catherine brings to her work an understanding of local and global movements, social impact, grassroots organizing, grantmaking, and philanthropy combined with an intersectional approach to social justice issues.Currently, as Executive Director of Reel Medicine Media, she leads a non-profit documentary film and impact organization founded by Dr. Jessica Zitter with a mission to humanize end-of-life care and transform medical culture through the power of storytelling. Previously, as Head of Advocacy & Executive Producer at Global Fund for Women, Catherine led organizational branding, communications, digital storytelling, and campaigning on women's human rights, growing online reach more than ten-fold. She produced 20+ campaigns including the Emmy nominated 'Fundamental: Gender Justice. No Exceptions' docuseries, leading digital distribution and an impact campaign reaching over 3.5 million views plus thousands through live and virtual events.As Vice President at International Museum of Women, Catherine co-created IMOW's model as an innovative online museum and global hub for digital storytelling, art, and advocacy. She led award-winning online exhibitions, global pop-up installations, speaker series, and partnerships in 14 countries on 5 continents. As Chief Curator at the San Francisco Public Library she developed community-based exhibitions, partnerships, publications, and public programming with a focus on socially conscious projects. Previously, she directed digital storytelling for emerging media platforms at Visible Interactive and Antenna International for clients including Lucasfilm, the Smithsonian Institution, the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.Catherine has an Art History degree from Smith College and studied at Université de Paris and Sciences Po. She serves on the board of the West Marin Fund, as an advisor to James C. Hormel LGBTQIA Center and United Nations Association Film Festival, and as a judge for UN Women Global Voices Film Festival.Catherine lives in West Marin with her partner Lisa, and a spunky pooch and curious cat.
