Responsible for HR operations functions across the UK, including HR Shared Service team, HR Projects and Processes, Reward and Pensions and HR Systems business owner.- Managed specialist HR teams and individuals working across the UK- Lead various HR Programmes and initiatives to springboard HR cultural changes across the UK.

Interim assignment to manage the UK HRSS which was to be transferred to a European wide shared service. Responsibilities included; maintaining service levels up to HRSS transition, Payroll transition from in house to outsourced service, Reward and Benefits management, HR systems and management of external providers (including embedded recruitment provider) through this process.

Contract assignment (Maternity leave cover), included establishing a new HR shared service for the UK and Ireland, taking the service live and managing the new team until April 2011. Full project included: move from Peoplesoft to SAP HR and consolidation of all UK payrolls all while establishing and launching a new shared service operation. After completion of the shared service implementation, moved across to the Payroll consolidation project and led that through to service transition.

Fixed term contract to provide a strategic review of the existing HR Shared Service (full life cycle scope, including UK training teams) and then provide ongoing management to enhance and expand service across multiple UK business- Identified and implemented organisational, technological and process improvements required.

Responsibilities/Achievements: - Establish and manage AA’s HR Shared Service (HRSS) department to provide flexible & responsive support with superior levels of customer service. This team was twice shortlisted for the Personnel Today Excellence Award in Shared Services & Outsourcing (2005, 2006). - HR Systems strategy/systems management, including the HR intranet, MI, e-recruitment & other HR information systems - Recruitment strategy, including developing employer brand - Service structure developed and new HR support roles established.

Role provided project management for a range of HR projects, including: - Transfer of centralised HR Services from parent company to AA- Management of company wide employee engagement survey- Terms and conditions harmonisation – new management contracts

This period included a 9 month assignment supporting the new (previously UK) MD appointed to work in Australia & preparing the newly acquired First State Computing for integration into Syntegra. In this time, negotiated a final settlement with the outgoing Managing Director, developed new organisation structure & cultural change plan while completing other restructuring & downsizing priorities. From Oct 1998, was lead HR manager for Project Management community & HR Business Partner for specific business areas in UK. This included Financial Services, Energy & Communication & Manufacturing divisions. Other UK contributions during this period included: •Restructuring of customer unit sales team. •Development of competency based models for project manager training, development & progression and review of recruitment & induction process. •Launch & implementation of new performance management approaches.

Focus was on establishing policies, procedures & standards in operational HR management, while repositioning HR as part of strategic business team. Contributions during this period included:•Development of internal training programme (professional & technical skills). •Introduction of reward structure, including job evaluation & market survey data.•Development of policy & procedures manual•Various restructuring initiatives
