Responsible for:- Leading the Department's relations with the North of England, including Mayoral Combined Authorities, Local Authorities, LEPs and other stakeholders. - Sponsorship of Transport for the North, which became a statutory Sub-national Transport Body (STB) in April 2018. - Devolution policy overall, including STBs, metro mayors and devolution deals, and relationships with the Devolved Administrations.- The £1.7bn Transforming Cities Fund announced at Budget 2017.- Management of the DfT National Transport Casework Team in Newcastle.Management of a team of around 35 staff in three locations, London, Leeds and Newcastle. The Division is part of the Department's Regions, Cities and Devolution Directorate.

Responsible for:- Transport elements of all the mayoral devolution deals in England.- Leading a team of staff up and down the country responsible for relationships with Local Authorities and LEPs.- Strategic oversight of the department's relationships with the Devolved Administrations.- Management of the National Transport Casework Team in Newcastle.

Policy lead on the Road Investment Strategy, in particular funding and investment plan.Communications and Stakeholder engagement for the Road Investment Strategy.

Led on DfT financial scrutiny of TfL from 2011-2012;London rail policy, in particular devolution of West Anglia suburban services to TfL, 2012-13 (project implementation May 2015).Responsible for DfT policy on future major projects affecting London, e.g. Crossrail 2, 2013-14.Acting Deputy Director for London Transport policy, Sep 2013 - Jan 2014.
