Ahhh, a summery. It's tricky to put 40 years of dancing, teaching, filming, producing, and building a career with literal blood, sweat and tears in to a "summery". But here goes....The highlights of my career include acting as dance director for the University of Hawaii Hilo (my super creative phase), working as a choreographer for Hong Kong Television ( my " your my slave and we hold your passport and visa" phase), my dance studio owner years where I dreamed all the dreams for my students and tried my best to raise "G" rated kids in an "R" rated world, my video production years ( my super productive years ) and now here I find myself in my "Cathy Roe's Ultimate Dance Competition" phase, where I try every trick in the book to get kids to notice that it's really not about the trophies.And at the end of the day, what I love the most... what heals my body and soul... Is teaching my fitness and dance classes at the local gym in South Bend, IN. for a paycheck that is less than I paid my student helpers back in the 1990's. Go figure......
