Cathy S. Wright, J.D. has nearly four decades of experience in the business world. A founding partner of Maynard, Cooper & Gale, she represented corporations in commercial, business and antitrust litigation. As a litigator, she implemented innovative methods for dispute resolution and created and taught seminars for industries seeking improved practices to avoid costly litigation. She served as Law Clerk to Judge Frank M. Johnson, Jr. The past two decades, Ms. Wright worked with organizations from large corporations to government agencies and nonprofits to achieve internal sustainability and effective public/private partnerships. She works with clients to enhance management and communication skills and to support internal and external relationships. Her work includes the design and implementation of change management strategies for major systems changes, organizational and team development, training, and strategic planning. She regularly works with organizations to refine and communicate their messages and to engage key partners. She has led successful consulting projects with organizations facing regulatory, legal, and media scrutiny to becoming models of high performance. Ms. Wright is certified to teach The Enneagram through The Narrative Enneagram and Mindfulness Meditation through the inaugural MMTCP Program led by Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield. She designed and teaches Mindfulness for the UAB/Lakeshore Foundation MENTOR program for people with physical disabilities. A certified mediator, she has taught dispute resolution, mediation, and negotiation in numerous continuing legal education courses and as adjunct professor of law. Ms. Wright is a Fellow of the American Bar Association She served as instructor in the Duke University Executive Education Training Program in the area of public and stakeholder engagement.
