 Provide responsible supervision and control to insure all customs clearance procedures are compliant with customs and accuracy. Ensure all operating systems, files and databases relevant to import activities are operating in compliance. Provide advice and counsel to key business stakeholders regarding customs compliance, regulations and laws. Build mutual trust, respect, and cooperation with clients. Develop new business opportunities with passion. Participate and manage strategic projects for the company to improve efficiency, compliance and cost reduction.  Determine applicable classification code for new products. Review all classification codes in the system. Keep accurate records and supporting documents related to assigned classifications as required by government regulations. Apply advance ruling for the client if any is requested.  Manage customs audit files, duty recovery, and avoidance programs such as duty drawback, repair valuation, Canadian goods returned, and others to insure optimal benefits with compliance of customs and other government regulations for our clients.  Participate and monitor monthly K84 payment, bond and licence review. Assist clients register GST direct payment method. Train the team both professional knowledge and communication skill. Provide guidance and direction to subordinates, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance.
