As the Special Events Intern I worked in the Dallas CASA Development Department under the direct supervision of the Special Events Manager and the Chief Development Officer. I was responsible for event coordination and organization, updating print materials, making sure supplies have been packed correctly and finalizing event details prior to event. As an intern I oversaw volunteer training and supervision during the event and ensured all volunteers fully understand their roles, have the supplies they need and feel comfortable with the tasks at hand. I was responsible for contacting vendors at NorthPark for marketing and public relations purposes before and during the event. I was also responsible for post event follow-up and wrap-up for the 2023 Parade of Playhouses.

I was in charge of appointments with young women shopping for their prom and homecoming dresses. This included assistingthem with their selection and fittings of the dresses. I efficiently managed one-hour to two-hour appointments that were one-on- one with the client to find their perfect dress for the occasion. I worked in processing, where I would prepare the new gowns to display on the floor. I also installed window displays and modeled dresses for the upcoming season.
