Since January 2023, I have been working as a Research Officer based at LIFT (Lactation, Infant Feeding and Translational research) which is based at Swansea University. LIFT is a team of academics, health professionals and students conducting research into infant feeding which aims to make a real difference to families and those who support them.Prior to moving to Swansea University, from 2020 to 2023, I was a Senior Lecturer in Health Psychology and Health Psychologist at the University of the West of England. From 2010 to 2020, I worked as a Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for Appearance Research which is based in the University of the West of England in Bristol. My research interests focus on the evaluation of interventions aiming to improve health and psychological well being for both children, adults and families, appearance research; in particular research that explores the impact of having a visible difference/ disfigurement on well being and the development of interventions to support individuals who are struggling to cope with a visible difference; in particular young people with a visible difference and people with cancer.
