I’m an experienced leader and strategist working on citizen-powered change to our communities, public services and political systems. Currently Principle Practice Lead at New Local and Trustee at Shift Design.I was previously Founding Chief Exec of award-winning education charity The Literacy Pirates. I have advised charities, social enterprises and social businesses on strategy, organisational development, and management, most recently as a consultant through Sea Change Strategy. I previously held roles at Ashoka, Challenge Works and as a Teach First Citizenship teacher in a north London high school. I was an inaugural trustee of the Economist Educational Foundation, and a Fulbright scholar at the Harvard Kennedy School.I’m particularly focused on reflective practice and learning, balancing big ideas with great management, and building team cultures which are both purposeful and joyful.
