As an Assistant Teacher I’m responsible for creating an atmosphere that is positive for learning and that stimulates critical thinking, problem solving and decision-making with children. We learn alongside our children, for example: we teach them words or phrases in sign language starting in the Infant room (my current room, 6 weeks-12 months old). We are responsible for introducing them to anything that will stimulate their senses, help them on their journey to sitting on their own, rolling, crawling, and eventually walking. We’re also responsible for providing the best care to not just our babies, but their parents as well. We connect daily with the parents, telling them about their baby’s accomplishments or where we believe the baby needs a bit more encouragement whether it be social emotional or physical.

I am responsible for feeding, dressing, showering, and assisting residents during their daily routines. I've always worked in Long-Term care. I'm there to aid the residents the best I can. I dive straight into their personal lives, they essentially become my family, and their family more often than not, become my family as well. When their life comes to an end, I am there to take care of them and respect their wishes.Most of my residents have dementia, Alzheimer's, and sundowners. However, as a CNA, I have to try to the best of my ability to stick to a strict schedule of dinner, snacks, showers, and bed. Their happiness and health come before anything else; some of them are really hard to please (just like customers at a store), but I'm there to do my best and keep their quality of life up to its full potential.

Responsibilities Trained for Cashier and Hardlines Team Member. I was responsible for setting up displays, and organizing the aisles. Interacting with the guests; assisting them. Pushing new products from the back. Some days I was assigned as a Cashier, but most days I was Hardlines and back-up Cashier.
