I am a committed scientist with a focus on molecular biology and genomics who is passionate about solving urgent environmental issues like climate change. I work as a PhD researcher at the Genomics for Climate Change Research Center in Campinas, Brazil, at the moment.In my work, I construct network models using multi-omics techniques to find target genes in bioengineering pipelines designed for crop science applications. At the same facility, I also worked as a research assistant, establishing methods for HMW DNA extraction and sequencing.I earned my MSc in Plant Biology from Laboratório de Fisiologia Vegetal (Plant Physiology Laboratory) at UNESP Rio Claro. I oversaw thorough study activities during this time, planning experiments and interpreting results. By assembling transcripts from non-model organism NGS data, my study allowed target gene identification and validation. Using greenhouse experiments, I studied plant physiology with an emphasis on gas exchange and water interactions.Furthermore, while working as a research intern at Forschungszentrum Jülich in Germany, I acquired experience in doing research on a global scale. There, I worked with a multinational team performing fieldwork and wet lab research for a project examining the relationships between biodigestate, mycorrhizal fungus, and maize.Skilled in data analysis and wet lab methods, I'm committed to advancing scientific research that addresses urgent environmental issues and advances methods for sustainable agriculture.
