Emanuele Cavallaro is currently President of Communications & Networking Division at Jabil, in charge of the divisional strategy, business development, marketing and R&D, with full P&L accountability.Prior to joining Jabil, he spent some years based in China (Shanghai) as Executive Vice President Operations for ASB (Alcatel-Lucent Shanghai Bell), a JV company between Alcatel-Lucent and the Chinese Government (SASAC), responsible of Procurement, Planning, Manufacturing, Logistics and Product Industrialization.In this period he was as well Board Director of CKD, another JV company headquartered in Qingdao between Alcatel-Lucent and other Chinese shareholders.In addition to the above responsibility, he spent several years as Vice President Global Manufacturing, in charge of the worldwide manufacturing activities for Alcatel-Lucent.Emanuele joined Alcatel in 1998, spending several years as Plant Director, performing the restructuring of 2 factories, which have been reconverted to the manufacturing of latest generation optical transmission equipment.After this experience he was Vice President Operations of the Optics division, in charge of the whole supply chain management, from planning to manufacturing, engineering, NPI and quality, including process re-engineering and re-design.Emanuele was also acting as Vice President Hardware Supply Chain for several months, supporting planning, manufacturing and industrial engineering activities.Prior to joining Alcatel, he has been working for several years in the silicon industry within ST Microelectronics in various management positions in supply chain planning and project management, culminating in over 30 years experience.He graduated at Politecnico of Milan with a degree in Electronics and he is CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) by APICS (American Production and Inventory Control Society).Specialties: Supply Chain management, manufacturing, planning, operations, industrial engineering, general management, purchasing, manufacturing transfers, Union negotiation
