Project Management Support Services PM overseeing the Wayfinding Enhancement Program at San Francisco International AirportThis programs purpose is to provide an enhanced guest experience and improve passengers' ability to navigate San Francisco International Airport (SFO) from the time they arrive to the time they depart.Program scope of work included the following:-Development and implementation of new airport Wayfinding Guidance System standards-Construction of new Welcoming Digital Sign (digital billboard)-Implement new gate numbering system airport wide. Construction activities included updating all airport assets containing gate numbers including directional signage, maps & directories, hold room identification, airfield markings on taxiways and lead-in lines, passenger boarding bridge gate identification, and more. Coordination activities included working with Airlines and Airport stakeholders to update systems with new gate numbers. Impacted systems included - Airport Operational Data Base Resource Management System (AODB-RMS), Information Display System (IDS), Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD), fire alarm, Airline ticketing and gate assignment systems, CCTV video management systems (VMS), GIS, and others. New gate number communications material (z-card maps, large format maps, and laminated vehicle cards for GSE) were developed to inform the larger airport community of more than 20,000 employees of forthcoming change. Overnight "go live" event was managed from SFO's emergency operation center (EOC).
