【關於我】我是索羅門凱拉，畢業於國立陽明交通大學生物藥學研究所。因父親為澳洲人，因此我的名字相較他人也較為特殊。在大學就讀營養系期間，因為對於營養師的工作缺乏興趣，所以轉而進入藥學相關研究所，希望能在藥物研究方面能有更多了解。在研究所期間雖然對於實驗的進展擁有一定成就感，也發現了藥物開發對於疾病的重要性，但基礎研究若無法進入臨床試驗也只是空談而已。於此我也認識到了臨床試驗的重要性以及挑戰性將是病人的希望，也讓我非常想進入這個領域效力。【求學經驗】大學期間我就讀於臺北醫學大學營養系，在此期間也學習了許多醫學知識和閱讀病歷的能力。而在就讀碩士期間，也挑戰了新領域，需要面對更大量的醫學藥物知識，也因此培育了閱讀大量文獻能力及良好的邏輯思考模式。碩士二年期間，我致力於研究癌症藥物開發，也和許多榮總腫瘤科醫生有過許多合作。無論是生物實驗抑或臨床試驗都廣泛涉獵，在此期間也增進口說簡報能力並積極參與相關科研比賽取得優良成績。碩士期間我參與了臨床試驗專員的訓練課程，並持續精進對於CRA工作內容的了解。【社團經驗】大學時期熱衷於參與社團活動，有幸能參與北醫山地服務社的一員，因為服務熱忱及付出成就感使我待了二年多，於寒暑假出隊服務山地居民，並參與義診。期間也接任活動組員，規劃各種志工服務。在大二下學期也參與了北醫的藥學企業Dreamers社團，積極了解藥廠生態與各種職位，也是於此時對於臨床試驗專員產生極大的興趣。在此社團內我也擔任過藥廠校內活動主持人和活動組員，參與各項活動。【工作經歷】我於大學期間進入台中大里仁愛醫院擔任實習營養師，也因此培養了更多醫療知識和參閱病歷的能力。而在大學期間內發揮營養知識專長，曾擔任保健品公司的專欄寫手，也進入東洋藥廠作為暑期生。在大學期間的工作經驗也培育我更豐富的溝通能力和負責任的態度。【未來展望】在臨床試驗的領域，希望能致力於幫助藥物順利進入臨床試驗且不斷精進自我。我認為臨床試驗領域在藥物產業是非常重要的一環，若能成功將新藥上市也將會為病人帶來無限希望，這也是為何我對於臨床試驗工作有如此大的憧憬。 I am Cayla Solomon, a graduate of the Institute of Biopharmaceutical Sciences at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University. My name is somewhat unique compared to others, possibly because my father is Australian. During my undergraduate studies in the Nutrition department, I found myself lacking interest in the role of a nutritionist. This led me to switch to a pharmaceutical-related research program with the hope of gaining a deeper understanding of pharmaceutical research. While pursuing my master's degree, I realized that although I had achieved a sense of accomplishment in laboratory experiments, the importance of transitioning basic research into clinical trials became evident. It was during this time that I recognized the significance and challenges of clinical trials, as they represent a source of hope for patients. This realization ignited my strong desire to contribute to this field. Pursuing a master's degree challenged me to delve into a new field, requiring me to grasp a greater volume of medical and pharmaceutical knowledge. Consequently, I honed my skills in reviewing extensive literature and developed a strong foundation in logical thinking. In my second year of the master's program, I dedicated myself to cancer drug development research and collaborated with numerous oncologists at Taipei Veterans General Hospital. My involvement spanned a wide range of activities, including both laboratory experiments and clinical trials. During this period, I improved my oral presentation skills and actively participated in various scientific research competitions, achieving excellent results.
