Chris is a partner in Ashurst Risk Advisory leading our Regulatory Risk capability. Chris provides strategic advice to C suites and Boards across a range of industries and risk areas including regulatory, conduct, compliance and strategic execution risk. Chris has over 25 years experience working for complex, blue chip organisations in both executive and advisory roles including leading: regulatory reform, operational and compliance risk uplift, major change & transformation and working with regulators and independent experts to resolve enforcement and conduct issues. Chris' diverse experience enables him to provide unique perspectives on critical risk management issues in an dynamic risk environment shaped by constant change across technology, data, regulatory reform, community expectations and how regulators operate.Chris is experienced in working with government, regulators and industry bodies in the shaping of policy and regulation. He is pragmatic and has a proven track record of navigating, simplifying and resolving complex issues. Immediately prior to joining Ashurst in October 2020, Chris led the Regulatory Investigations & Customer Remediation team for NAB's wealth management division (MLC) with accountability for the resolution of regulatory issues requiring uplift of internal practices and customer remediation. Chris is sought out as an expert in the field of Portfolio, Program and Project Management and in addition to executive delivery roles at a number of large corporates, Chris has advised industry groups and universities on the development of project management standards and graduate / post graduate education.
