I am an aspiring Public Historian passionate about making academic historical information accessible to everyone, whether that's through the creation of public exhibits, conducting archival research, or transcribing documents. Everyone should have the means to access and learn from humanity's collective knowledge of the past.My internship at the Icon Museum and Study Center instilled in me the immense responsibility that historians have in upholding the legacy of ancient traditions and documenting the work of extraordinary yet unrecognized individuals to be preserved and appreciated by scholars and the public alike. My experience as a sophomore History student at Endicott College has similarly provided me with the skills required to be successful in my field of study such as:- Expressing, discussing, and building ideas within a group environment- Independently showcasing my research through in-class presentations and lectures- Accurately and concisely researching and analyzing complex historical information to present new interpretations of historical events- Utilizing contemporary media framing tools such as Voyant, Palladio, and Gephi to analyze historical events- Practicing good work ethic through time and project managementMy future aspirations include pursuing a minor in Archaeology at the American College of Greece and hopefully having the opportunity to study more languages like Arabic, Ancient Greek, and Latin in my time at school.
