Prevention Supervisor
CurrentManage multiple grants providing prevention services to 9 counties;responsible for delivery of prevention services.Responsible for maintaining public relations between the agencyprevention department and community resources.Provide support, consultation, reinforcement and coordination to areacommunities, task forces, and agencies in an effort to unite andcoordinate substance abuse prevention activities.Responsible for maintaining continuous contact with the IowaDepartment of Public Health and prevention specialist(s) to assist in thedevelopment of new prevention programming.Attend State and Regional Prevention Meetings.Responsible for supervision and performance evaluations of thePrevention Staff at CFR.Keep informed regarding new information relevant to substance abuseprevention and communicate updates to staff.Demonstrate ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously andprioritize tasks and demands.Understand and enforce all CFR policies and procedures; develop andwrite policies and procedures related to the Prevention Department asneeded.Maintain appropriate records and prepare reports that may be requiredby the Iowa Department of Public Health for certification and grantmanagement.Responsible for keeping informed of current budget to actual situationconcerning the prevention budget and advising the Controller of fiscalneeds; assist in annual budget preparation and securing additionalfunding.Responsible for preservation of prevention resources; such as books,audio-visual equipment, films, tapes, etc.
