I moved to Mackay, Queensland in late 2011 and took up with Linked Group Services to manage their solar projects and to assist in developing new and innovative products. Being a part of a progressive, hard working team is an every day highlight for me at Linked. I was also a major contributor to the development of the Linked solar isolators, a completely new product for the solar industry that is smart, cost effective and really beneficial for clients.

I moved back into electrical work in 2010 for Reeds Electrical on the central coast of News South Wales. As a supervisor, I was responsible for ensuring my team worked to capacity while being safe and producing quality work. I enjoyed working with Reeds and getting back onto the tools, and my liking for management grew.

In 2000 I took an opportunity to own and run two hotels in News South Wales. This was a great learning experience and really helped me to sharpen up my problem solving skills, as there was always something happening that needed seeing to. I really enjoyed working with my family as well, and this taught me a lot about managing people.

After completing my electricians apprenticeship, I started my own electrical business and worked with a range of commercial and private clients. Working for myself taught me a lot about the importance of being organised and always doing the best job I could.
