About Christopher Jones

I’m a 29-year veteran of the media industry with a passion for creating and delivering content that makes a difference. And I don’t mean that as a cliché. Depending on the project, that could mean a difference to a company’s bottom line or a difference in the quality of life for a reader, viewer, or listener. I receive messages every day from listeners of my shows who tell me how an episode helped them get through a tough situation, inspired them, or simply made their day brighter. I love hearing that. It makes what I do worthwhile.I began my career in a world where print, radio, and television ruled—and that provided me with a strong understanding of how to create content. Today we live in a world where the internet, ebooks, apps, podcasts, and online video rule. This gives us incredible opportunities to take traditional content and elevate it in a way that gets greater results than ever before. Applying my two decades of experience in content creation and publishing to new media platforms is what I love doing every day … prolifically. My current and recent endeavors and career highlights include:• Publisher and editor-in-chief of The ACCJ Journal, the magazine of the American Chamber of Commerce in Japan• Founder, publisher, and executive producer of the Trek.fm podcast network (TFM)• Host of The Ready Room, The Orb, Notes from the Edge, and Notes on the Line podcasts• Columnist for StarTrek.com, the official website of the Star Trek franchise run by CBS• Voiceover and narration for the National Space Society and others• Industry volunteer, past member of AMA and AAF boards of directors, judge in international creative, marketing, and podcast competitions• More than 120 awards for writing, design, and marketing, including a National ADDY Award and publication in Print Magazine and HOW.
